GuiFei OoLong Taiwanese Tea

“Why is a furniture designer selling tea?”

Well, I’ll tell you.  Choosing the right furniture is about improving our lifestyle, creating that peaceful, calm, yet complete feeling when surrounded by beautiful things.  But they’re not just things.  Some believe trees are inclined to protect those around them, and this continues through the life of the furniture piece.  Whether you believe it or not, it’s all about feeling good, and so is the calming, healing power of tea.  And, it’s made by family.

Our Taiwanese Teas are hand-selected and sent through the rigorous tea-making process by our Uncle, a tea maker and master of tea in Taiwan.  This slow, controlled drying process removes bitter impurities, allowing the leaves to soak for extended times without a bitter taste.

Gui Fei Oolong | 貴妃烏龍 is a Taiwanese high mountain Oolong tea, fermented to a light-medium level and lightly roasted.  This tea is a good balance of light flavor and toasty body, for those days when Black Tea feels too dark and DaYuLing feels too light.

Description

Brewing at Home
Use 1-2 scoops of tea in a small tea pot.
Boil water and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Add 100-150cc of hot water to the tea pot.
Brew 60-90 seconds, or to taste.
Brew leaves up to 5 times before changing leaves.

Brewing To Go
For tea to-go, add about 1 scoop of tea to your mug, then add hot water. Allow boiling water to rest a few minutes before brewing tea.  Refill throughout the day to re-use the leaves and stay hydrated.

Tea Tip
Use baking soda to remove those stubborn tea stains from the cup.  They will come right off!

For Coffee Drinkers
This bag size is similar to a buying a bag of coffee, depending how you use it.  If you must drink tea and coffee, we always recommend drinking tea BEFORE drinking coffee, not after.  Coffee does an excellent job at covering up delicious, subtle flavors.  Your taste buds will thank you.
