Donate

Thanks to all who have donated in the past. You too are a part of the craft.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as “free wood.”  Anything that saves in dollars often costs so much more in time and labor, due to poor quality or needed processing.  This is why I must be selective in your kind sharing.

Please get in touch if you would like to share.

Fresh Cut Logs

A downed hardwood tree cut into logs, not yet split into firewood, can be used to make hand-carved bowls.  I cannot use logs from a dead tree.

I’m looking for:

Hardwood logs 2-4 feet long, bigger than your thigh (or mine), free of rot, branches & knots.  Black Walnut is my favorite.

Milled Lumber

If you have lumber you’d like to donate, I may be able to help. I usually don’t purchase lumber until it’s needed for a project due to limited space.

I only use American woods such as Cherry, Black Walnut, Pine, Red Oak, etc.

Hand Tools

I might use traditional hand tools in reasonable condition.

– Hand saws, hand planes, chisels, auger bits, braces, etc. – The older the better.

I may offer classes someday, and tools can get incredibly expensive or be hard to find. Donations would help me build a collection used to teach others.
